I am available to hire as a host for your online, live sessions.
A host can do many things, including acting as an MC and making your participants and presenters feel welcome and at ease. They will also:
perform the Acknowledgement of Country in a respectful, inclusive manner
acclimatise the online participants to the platform and break the ice with them
introduce the presenter and ensure they are at ease
collect questions for the presenter as they speak, and later perform a Q&A session with them
perform wrap up functions at the end of a session, including calls to action and evaluation processes
For an extra fee, the host can provide the technological platform to host the online session.
Being on camera is stressful. Being online, on camera and trying to ensure the technology is all working simultaneously - that’s another level of stress!
Hiring a host allows you to concentrate on what you’re there to see - the participants. You can use that time to notice their questions, answer them appropriately, to evaluate their needs and notice their patterns of behaviour. If you’re hosting, you will often miss this vital information.
